The classification model distinguishes between superficial profile updates (title formatting changes, company name corrections) and genuine career movements. A title change from "VP, Strategy" to "SVP, Corporate Strategy" is correctly classified as a Promotion, while a move from one subsidiary to another within the same parent company is flagged as an internal transfer rather than a new role. This precision eliminates false positives that would erode consultant trust in the intelligence.
